Hard work. Growth. Unity.

We are in the early stages of building something new and great. We have a young and talented roster, a committed coaching staff, and a home field in the heart of Buzzards Bay. Joining us means you'll be a part of something special.

  • Hard Work

From the regiment to the classroom to the playing field, being a student at Mass Maritime is hard work. Our players thrive in this environment, and it helps them prepare for life after college.

  • Growth

You'll leave here a better player and a better leader than you arrived. We coach every player, every day.

  • Unity

Our players come from different backgrounds, bring unique perspectives, and have different life ambitions. But on the field and in the team room, we work as one.

Experience before you graduate

Internships, co-ops, and experiential learning courses put cadets to work in their field across the country and abroad. You'll graduate with a full resume along with a degree.

Discipline, Knowledge, Leadership

Drawing inspiration from the United States Military and Merchant Marine, the Regiment of Cadets instills discipline, knowledge, and leadership in all. Built on a model of followership, then leadership, cadets develop self-discipline, professionalism, confidence, honor, and pride in themselves and their shipmates. Only cadets who volunteer for commissioning programs have military obligations.

Architect's rendering of the New Balance Wellness Center at the Clean Harbors Athletic Facility, with cadets walking past

Mass Maritime is partnering with New Balance and Clean Harbors on the New Balance Wellness Center at the Clean Harbors Athletic Facility: 18,000 square feet connected to the gym, built for training and recovery. Design runs through 2027, with a fall 2029 opening planned. If you're a junior or senior in high school right now, you'd be training in it as an upperclassman.

“New Balance is proud to support Massachusetts Maritime Academy through this new wellness center that will provide enhanced athletic and well-being opportunities that complement the Academy's strong academic and skill development programs.”
